Accessing and Processing Planetary Datasets

Here are a list of the websites that will be useful for access planetary datasets:

• Planetary Data System
  This is a link to the PDS Geosciences Node, which provides access to the majority of datasets that will be of interest during your research.
• USGS Astropedia
  Great tool for downloading raster datasets, especially global mosaics, in a easily digestible format for ArcGIS.
• USGS PILOT tool
  Another tool provided by the USGS that facilitates the downloading and processing of planetary image datasets.
• JMARS
  This is a program that you can download onto your computer. It is another GIS framework to download and analyze planetary datasets.
• Orbital Data Explorer
  This website is part of the PDS Geoscience node, but toggeling to the “Tools” tab for any of the listed planetary bodies and selected the tool for the laser altimeter data (RDR, PDER, etc.)
